We have an excellent group of people to advise us. These include:
Jackie is Director of the Scottish Social Enterprise Academy and worked closely with Anne-Marie and Mary to establish Good Company. "I got involved with starting up Good Company because I feel there is so little out their to reflect the volume of business going on in Scotland which is stimulated by social, environmental and ethical considerations. It'll be a space for taking part in a conversation about social enterprise".
Stephen is a partner in legal firm Burness LLP where he heads up a dedicated team focussed on third sector and public sector bodies. "In my view, the prospects for social enterprises within Scotland have never been better and this is why I think the concept of this new magazine is so important. There is so much to be gained by sharing experience".
Alan is Business Development Manager - Social Housing, at the Dunfermline Building Society, the largest provider of loan finance to Housing Associations in Scotland. "Community Enterprise requires community ownership if we are to address the inequalities and disadvantages that are inherent within our society. That's why I am delighted to have been invited to contribute to Good Company magazine".
Ron is the Director of the Employment Research Institute at Napier University, and in his past life was a non-executive director of a community business near Stirling. "My main reasons for being involved in the magazine include, my interest in keeping up with what is happening in the dynamic field of social enterprises; following and participating in the debates about the future of the sector; and seizing the opportunity to share some of my experience with others".
Alistair was Chief Executive of development agency CEIS for several years before becoming a Director of the consultancy firm Rocket Science UK. "I'm not usually a joiner of things, but what Good Company is seeking to do and the debate it is trying to start is worth while joining in and supporting".
